Lady's mantle

The lady's mantle, which is used for the Inizio hydrolate, is locally grown in Vorarlberg/Austria. It is harvested by hand between mai and end of october during a period of bright sunshine after the dew has dried. It will be always watersteam-destilled at the day of the harvest. To receive a balanced, harmonious aroma we use 80% leafes and 20% flowers. The harvest take place shortly after the beginning of blossom.

Lady's mantle (which is also called alchemilla) smells fresh and a little bit sweet. Alchemilla is traditionally used in the case of female diseases like menopause complaints, vaginal discharge, menstrual cramps,... but also for healing small wounds, boils and eczemas. Lady's mantle ist an astringent, so it can be used the gums for example in the case of gum bleeding. The folk (traditional) medicine used alchemilla for skin tightening, e.g. for tight breasts and cleavage. The comission E confirmed the positive effect in the case of diarrhoea.

Pure water

The water, which is used for the production of hydrolates, is pure and untreated water from the ground water fields in the foreshore of the Rhine. The Lustenauer drinking water needs no treatment, because it is water of the very best quality. Through the process of destillation pure hydrolat is formed.
