Spruce

The spruce, which is used for the Inizio hydrolate, is locally grown in Vorarlberg/Austria. It is harvested by hand between end of april and end of june on a sunny day. It will be always watersteam-destilled at the day of the harvest. To receive a balanced, harmonious aroma we use only the young shoots. 

Spruce-hydrolat has an slightly sweet scent, a little bit like needles and resin. Like fir, spruce is a traditional used as a medicinal plant. Spruce is known as a natural healing plant in the case of rheumatism, muscle tension and blunt injuries. It is also an expectorant and therefore a good drug to relieve symptomes of a cold. The smell of forrest makes it besides easier to breath well. Another positive effect: the scent of the powerful tree seems to strengthen the self-confidence.

Pure water

The water, which is used for the production of hydrolates, is pure and untreated water from the ground water fields in the foreshore of the Rhine. The Lustenauer drinking water needs no treatment, because it is water of the very best quality. Through the process of destillation pure hydrolat is formed.
