Sweet clover
The sweet clover, which is used for the Inizio hydrolate, is locally grown in Vorarlberg/Austria. It is harvested by hand between june and september when it is in full bloom during a period of bright sunshine around midday. It will be always watersteam-destilled at the day of the harvest. To receive a balanced, harmonious aroma we use approximately 30 cm of the inflorescence.
Sweet clover-hydrolat smells characteristicly like coumarin. In the folk (traditional) medicine sweet clover was used for a long time in the case of varicous veins, heavy legs, cellulite, but also when suffering from stomach ache or liver complaints, although due to its high part of coumarin caution ist advised. The commission E recommends sweet clover for assisting care of thrombophlebitis, post thrombotic syndrome, haemorrhoides and lymphatic blockages as well as external for rheumatic aching joints, contusions, sprains and superficial bruises.

Pure water
The water, which is used for the production of hydrolates, is pure and untreated water from the ground water fields in the foreshore of the Rhine. The Lustenauer drinking water needs no treatment, because it is water of the very best quality. Through the process of destillation pure hydrolat is formed.
